great team great idea perfect opportunities
Best: launch, Friday drinks, holidays allowance
Basics covered but no bonus
Mac Book pro that you can take home, daily lunch for only 40e per month, bootcamp, several parties, used to have some sponsorship for bikes but not anymore...
Having access to an employee laptop, a wonderful office, delicious daily lunch with plenty of vegetarian/vegan options is fairly standard in Amsterdam tech scale-ups these days. What made TravelBird more special were the company specific things; i'll list them according to the instruction above: 1) Company Perks: constant access to FANTASTIC coffee, frequent little touches that make the office more pleasant, Friday drinks at the office on a quite large scale (but tastefully done), access to the TravelBird canal boat during the summer for brilliant evening boatrides with the team etc. 2) Health insurance options existed through a well discounted option through a large Dutch Insurance company. 3) Vacation days were fairly standard and holidays too. 4) The option to work from home occasionally, and without limits was well appreciated by those who lived further afield.
No insurances for foreigners, low salary, free beverages, lunch & Friday drinks.
- free sport lessons - relatively cheap & good lunch - MacBook Pro to work with - company drinks
not reccomendable for a long term job
The pay for interns was awful. However, the lunches, company drinks, use of the Mac outside of work and some events organised by the company are very good. It doesn't make up for the tiny pay for interns though - company boats dont pay rent.
