We constantly evaluate the energy efficiency of our data centers, and we’re quick to adopt proven energy-saving technologies or techniques on a global scale. For instance, systems that reduce power use by actively monitoring air flow are becoming standard technologies in our data centers. So are controls that optimize cold aisle temperature, chiller efficiency, chilled water flow and modern lighting systems. These and other green operational practices have helped us avoid using about 10,000 kilowatts annually—enough to power more than 8,000 U.S. homes for a year. To help us conserve even more energy in the coming years, we’ve set a target of 1.45 or lower for our design average power usage effectiveness (PUE), putting our new data centers on an aggressive path for efficiency improvement.
At Equinix, being “green” is just part of being operationally lean. We’re always looking for new ways to reduce energy and water use in our data centers, and many of our facilities have earned green certifications. We’ve also received the following awards in recognition of our environmentally sustainable business practices:

As the company grows, it get more and more complex
Ik heb online gesolliciteerd. De procedure duurde Meer dan 4 weken. Ik heb gesolliciteerd bij Equinix (Amsterdam).
Very strange recruitment process. I applied on LinkedIn and was contacted through email a month after by a recruiter, who thanked me for spending the time talking to her the previous week and wanted to schedule a F2F. I obviously never spoke to them so they must have forgotten to due the phone screening...
F2F was with the very nice director who would be the hiring manager. They were really in a rush to hire people due to poor staffing decisions, as he said, so they were looking to hire within 2 weeks tops, and that would be my 1 and only interview. He asked a few simple questions about my experience and it was nice discussion though he seemed really busy and in a constant hurry. A week later I didn't get any feedback so reached out to the recruiter, who told me she's checking with hire manager today will let me know ASAP. She never got back to me so I guess the position was filled...
In short, messy recruiting process, incredible lack of communication and the good ol ghosting at the end.. Would not apply again, or recommend applying.
