It is extrememly politcal - office polotics run everything there. Nothing is trult based on merit or work. This is unfortunate. 75% of the managemnt are not qualified to have the positions they have and form friendships with their direct reports. Depending on how that goes is how your job goes. If you prefer to not get involved in the office politics you will not get proper attention and will always get needs improvment ratings. Since I have left I have been thriving anf have received 2 consecutive promotions due to my work ethic and performance so its quite clear the problem was not me.
