Ik heb een voltijdbaan gehad bij CD PROJEKT RED (Langer dan een jaar)

    Pluspunten

    - Very talented people to work with,
    - Opportunity to work on amazing games,
    - Great food at cafeteria (mostly),
    - Nice social events, parties and such,
    - Great coffee,
    - Office is at a good location, with parking space and Warsaw is fairly cheap place when it comes to rent.

    Minpunten

    - People who basically hates games are at management positions,
    - Bullying at office,
    - Working without a clear direction, management never listens or cares and always sets up fake goals,
    - Good ideas are shut down immediately,
    - Low low low salary, people who doesn't deserve anything gets higher salaries and raises while people who pour sweat and blood and their soul into the project get almost nothing,
    - Upsetting work hours when it isn't even necessary,
    - Talented people who gave their blood and soul to the company threaded like slaves who did nothing for the company. Many of them left the company and management hired up more amateurs who have no idea what they are doing to fill the gap, so there is always chaos.
-Progress is made and suddenly scrapped each day, perfectly good stuff (can't say anything more) is destroyed because of poor management.

    Advies aan management

Listen to your employees more, get rid of people who are there as just politicians instead of workers. Give people who loves making and playing games, who pours their blood and soul into those project what they deserve.
Listen to what gamer's say, get advice from the players/costumers instead of some 50 year old who hates playing games.

Do not scrap projects or do not make people start projects that will be scrapped either way, out of everything else, I hated that more. Something you have worked for over a month and it is gone because some higher up is unsure if it would sell well. Few of us had an idea to remake an old game (I will not say which), we got permission, worked on it in our spare time to both make something beautiful and to improve ourselves, finished several parts of it, only for it to be scrapped, because someone is "unsure" about it.

And try not to lose good and talented people over a few people at higher positions who does about nothing.

    Pluspunten

The studio is certainly difficult to work at because of the nature of the development - we are trying to do extraordinary things in unchartered space on the bleeding edge of technology. And if something doesn't feel right it will be changed despite some the near term consequences. The unwritten ethos is do not compromise. This leads to frequent change and oftentimes - yes production chaos - but the rewards - if you have the fortitude and the ambition - are amazing and life changing.

    Minpunten

    Get ready for hard work

    Advies aan management

Keep doing what you're doing and mostly ignore the glassdoor trolls for they lack the grit and clearly lack the experience to know what it takes to make something spectacular

Ik heb een voltijdbaan gehad bij CD PROJEKT RED (Korter dan een jaar)

    Pluspunten

Has some extremely dedicated and talented people working here.
Extremely high expectations for their products / games.
Still has a respectable name so starting your career in CDP will carry a lot of weight when you decide to move to a better company.

    Minpunten

No real idea how to make a game beginning to end. Just put random stuff together and hope for the best.
No long term plan / structure / process.
Stacked management, a few people making all of the decisions in a non-transparent, badly-communicated way.
The people that make decisions are rarely experts in the field they make the decision in.
Ridiculous amounts of time wasted on needless micromanagement due to insecure / incompetent leadership.
The higher you go in the company, the more political and toxic the environment becomes.
A lot of employees are suffering from Stockholm Syndrome which they confuse with loyalty.

    Advies aan management

Pointless to give advice since it gets ignored anyway. There's no way to fix this company unless a professional external audit is performed at the highest level AND it gets listened to. The board of directors themselves need to rethink how to run the company since the growth they had post-witcher was not planned properly at all and as such was completely unscalable.

    Minpunten

High management & Production. unrealistic virtual deadlines, planning being made despite what developers say and putting people on unnecessary crunch

Stop listening to yourself, start listening to the employees.

Ik heb een voltijdbaan bij CD PROJEKT RED (Langer dan 3 jaar)

    Pluspunten

    - Amazing people to work with (not management)
    - Very cool projects (though you can get stuck on boring tasks for a long time)
    - V.good benefits, including a gym inside the studio
    - No micromanagement, understanding bosses (when it comes to being late, taking day off etc)

    Minpunten

    - Low salaries, even for Poland
    - Spreadsheet driven development
    - Game director changing design on a whim, often contradicting himself
    - It's actually 5 people making the game, the rest (hundreds) is just taking orders. Opinions don't matter and are rarely taken into consideration
    - Same management mistakes repeated over and over and over and over again.
    - Who you know > skills, actual knowledge
    - Insane crunch time
    - No time dedicated to polishing the game
    - You need to start managing people to mean something in this company
    - Lots of fake success just to pat ourselves in the back and pretend we're doing fine and no one's, especially management, at fault
    - Some teams are clearly treated with less respect than others, without any facts behind this.

    Advies aan management

Get off your high horse, currently you're making Witcher 3 look like a game done despite you, not thanks to you. Respect other opinions, rise salaries, do some actual thinking when planning work.

Ik heb een voltijdbaan gehad bij CD PROJEKT RED (Langer dan een jaar)

    Pluspunten

    - You can get a nice cv with cool projects on your resume
    - An amazing group of talented people.
    - Great ambition

    Minpunten

    - Absurd crunch mostly due to bad planning (and bad food during the crunch time)
The crunch was paid, but health and time family can not be repaired.
    - Inexperienced management
    - Lack of perspective to see the projects as a big picture
    - Leads and Producers lacking experience in game industry
    - Low salaries compared with other AAA companies
    - Poland is a hard place to live due to its culture

    Advies aan management

CD PROJEKT must be aware that the success of their projects is builded over the shoulders of their employees, even against the bad decisions and stress during the production of their projects; and that in most cases for insatisfaction inside the company we decided to leave the firm.
The sad thing is that even CDP is doing nothing to keep their key employees, nor even to ask themselves what they are doing wrong in order to stop their employee leaking. Seems that the rain of CVs coming to them makes them feel confident regarding their future, but making to forget that most of the employees that build The Witcher 3 (specially foreigners with experience) aren't any more on their ranks.
CDP, you can create amazing games, but you can too create amazing experience for your employees, so they can build even better ones. Remember that the success of your games comes from the time, hands and hearts of your employees!

    Pluspunten

I can agree with only few of the negative reviews placed on this portal and in most cases they are highly exaggerated and subjective.

    - Management cares for its employees and seeks for the top talents in entire world.
    - We are working on amazing project, building a spectacular piece of art.
    - There are many benefits from company like Multi Sport card or private Health Care.
    - Crunch hours are being highly rewarded and planned along with developers so if someone doesn't want to stay extra hours he does not need to.
    - HR Team takes care of us being well integrated, there are many events sponsored by company.
    - Standard of the office (especially in Kraków studio) is very high which improves the work comfort.
    - People that you work with respect your opinions and treat you well no matter of your level of experience, gender or age.
    - Our work is being appreciated by supervisors.
    - Salaries are decent for polish standards.

    Minpunten

    - Directors take too much on their shoulders. It slows down the workflows.
    - Your career depends a lot on your charisma.
    - Some people like to complain just for sport and spread rumors which shouldn't be accepted by higher management since it affects team spirit.

Keep up the great work :)

    Pluspunten

    - Fantastic creative designers, artists and programmers
    - Cool parties organized by the HR team

    Minpunten

    - They don't have respect to women in the company and top management is sexist, making often horrible comments about female workers
    - Management doesn't care about people, only the results
    - Crunching hours are horrible and people are stressed, afraid to lose a job and powerless
    - Nobody cares about you or your improvement - you won't get an increase in a salary if you don't know a lot of people in the company and are not friends with the top management

    Advies aan management

Shuffle the whole management team, maybe you'll achieve something.

    +Great sky diving expierence
+United Emirates of Arabia is a great coutry

    Minpunten

-No extra salary for over time!!!!
-A lot of cycle crunch work hours
-The employees are being used are pure resources, fake goals to milk the most out of them and afterwards throw in the garbage can with barely payment
-The company has an annoying constant phobia of Russia with believing news such as:
    Russia invaded crimea
Putin is a dictator who can do whatever he wants
    etc .......

-Horrible management who are sometimes even lost with the product itself and who are there just because they have invested a lot of time in the company.

    Advies aan management

Stop treating your employees like pure resources and hire some real management.
