    Terrible pay scales (only can advance to a certain $ amount within your career) managers are expected to work non stop without breaks & spread way too thin.

    There are a few really good people who do actually care

    The communication is like a kindergarten game of telephone. The opportunity for advancement is minimal. The raise percentage is the same no matter how you score on your review. The only time you hear from upper management is when they are making shoot from the hip changes that are often idealistic instead of realistic and even then the information comes piece mail. If you have any concerns the answer is always "... we are working on some things and it will get better. Hang in there". The time off swings at both ends of the spectrum. If you are front line or lower management you never get vacation but the upper management seems to perpetually be on vacation

    Minpunten

    An apparent lack of oversight by the company on the actions of local management. Joined the company for the opening of a new account that was awarded after a lengthy bid process. Two months after the semester began (seven months after winning contract), the total lack of planning and any semblance of understanding the needs of a $40 million account , is obvious to everyone. An unqualified management team can happen... to any company but not reacting to a potential disaster (losing the account during the one year probationary period) has led me to lose all respect for a company that should know better. Along with the business mistakes made daily, the management leadership seems to have never heard about treating others with respect and dignity.

    Any company can say that the employee comes first but it takes real integrity to live it. The increased loyalty and satisfaction that comes from treating people right and effort placed on truly understanding the needs of the customer will lead to profitability. Get your priorities right and you can be the leader instead of a joke.

    Most of your co-workers are extremely helpful. Sodexo is a family oriented company. Excellent Work Conditions and decent benefits are also a plus.

    Minpunten

    Unfortunately pay rates for some positions are lower than other companies in the same industry. Insurance is fully employee paid.
