AmplifyBio has instilled a toxic work environment in which employees are not valued. Time and time again, they hire overqualified people and pay them as little as possible while offering them titles below their experience. They take advantage of the fact that many qualified people are so desperate that they are willing to accept whatever title and compensation is offered, even if it is much lower than market value. This then affects everyone else who is then told they are unable to be promoted because they are at the same level as someone with a higher degree and more work experience. This fosters a feeling of resentment and frustration among employees. When feedback regarding workplace issues are communicated with management it is not listened to and the employee giving the feedback is branded as a disgruntled employee. The employee is told that they can leave if they don't like it because the company can hire someone else. There is no attempt to create a better company culture, and this attitude comes from the top.
