Pluspunten
-Good perks (personal trainer 3x a week, stocked kitchen, yoga instructor 1x week, dog friendly, makeshift gym, flexible hours, etc.) -Good benefits (401k, matching 401k, health, medical, etc.) -Good pay (but you will likely be salaried/exempt, expect to work 45+ hours a week without overtime pay) -Unlimited PTO (you will need your entire team's approval + you will need to develop a schedule of who will take over what while you're gone; can get too beurocratic to actually take time off)
Minpunten
-Toxic work environment (excessive gossip & comiserating, very unprofessional environment) -Lying to clients and similar unethical practices -"self-managed teams" workstyle is simply untrue. There is a management team (in everything but name) and they will undermine you and your team's decisions if they don't align with their designs. Don't expect any autonomy and don't be surprised if you deal with micromanaging "non-managers". Unlike a traditional work environment, you will not have a manager advocating on your behalf nor someone you can directly go to when having a work-related issue. Honestly, it will feel more like 1945 Berlin with the Stasi. -Share the Load (if you get your work done quickly, don't expect to go home on time. It is expected that you take on the work of other individuals- including that of other teams- once you are done with your load)
