Large companies tends to standardize everything, why standards should be there it should b leave some space to adapt it to the local environment.
Standardisation is a killer of the mind

Make sure that the introduction of any standard is reviewed with all concerned and leave enough space to the end user.

    Hilton is also the leading hospitality company when it comes to talent development. I have joined the company right after university and was fortunate to enrol in their post graduate programme called Elevator which fast tracks you to the GM role in a few years thanks to a robust set of training programmes, cross exposure and mentorship. All of this happening in multiple countries and diverse hotels (business, leisure) so you are naturally improving your cultural awareness but also your leadership skills by working with different nationalities and level of experiences. Compared with other hotel companies, I found Hilton provides the right environment, the best learning curve, and career advancement opportunities with the choice between 13 brands. The ride was bumpy at times however the efforts I put in were highly rewarded with timely and significant promotions. In a nutshell, if you are deeply passionate about the industry, seek a fast-paced international exciting career, then buckle up and visit Hilton careers website.

    The company has now developed 13 different brands and the choice can be hard at times so you need to know them well to be able to decide what fits your style of working best. Also, Hilton provides numerous platforms to accelerate your development but be clear about your mid to long term goals so you can select the most appropriate ones for you. The speed of transition between two different countries may depend on local legislation so ensure to do your minimum research before applying so you don't lose patience and miss the opportunity to excel your career.
