I started almost a year ago, and my experience has been quite positive. I feel I have a good relationship with my manager and can talk to her about anything I'm concerned about in my job. I have a good balance of work/life at MAPFRE. While I'm always busy, I rarely feel overwhelmed, or that I can't keep up with my work, and have only had to work overtime a few times during the busiest parts of the year. All my requests for time off have been approved and my manager encourages us to make sure we use our PTO time. They often promote from within, so if you're willing to make the effort, you can take on more challenging roles. The company is expanding, so there are no worries about downsizing. The benefits are comparable to other larger companies in the area.
Minpunten
I feel many employees are still resentful of MAPFRE taking over Commerce and changing the culture. It's bred a good deal of underlying discontent and negative attitudes. I do feel management is making a genuine effort to address these feelings and make positive changes, though it will take time.
