Minpunten
When I started at SimplePart I was fresh out of college and excited to get into my industry. What I was met with was the most toxic environment I've ever been involved with. The CEO is a bully who only really knows about his own code and talks down to everyone around him. The other employees at the time got their attitude from him which made the place hell. I had a target on my back for no reason at all. I was considering leaving my field because I assumed all dev jobs must be this way. I was paid literally half what I began making almost immediately at my next job. When I got a new job I was amazed at how respectful my coworkers were, they were impressed with my abilities, while at this place I was treated like garbage and made to feel like a fool. It is very upsetting to look back at and I can't believe how Cole was allowed to behave. He is one of the nastiest personalities I have ever interacted with. This is not how a job should feel and it is not how other companies run. If you are a new dev please read: this job will stunt the growth of your skills and talent, you are being way underpaid, and my guess is you are still being treated like trash - these things are not normal and it's worth the effort it takes to find a new job. I have since talked with several developers who either worked there briefly or interviewed and all said the same thing.
