where do I start? The COO, CIO have never worked anywhere except Meditract and therefore have no insight, experience, perspective when making decisions. Stay away! A day in the life at this company consists of the COO, CIO calling everyone to hear childish complaints; of course never validating those complaints but just excoriating those running the projects. There are dozens of examples...here's just one: on a conference call, the CIO listens in but does not announce he is there. There are deep, complicated discussions going on and at one point the Meditract teams pauses to consider the question. After the call the CIO calls the Director of the project and blasts him because ' there was a pause in the conversation'.. "you made us look like idiots!!" Another example: the CIO makes out a budget plan and NEVER consults the Director of Architects whether it's feasible to complete. The CIO then sends to board of directors and of course the entire team is faced with completing a project without input. As a reminder, the CIO has never worked anywhere except Meditract.

A lot of friendly coworkers. Everybody pretty much knows everyone else.

Let's start with the company being penny wise and pound foolish. They bring in new people with less experience and skill at higher pay rates than the people who have to train them and/or mentor them. Management has also moved the goalposts on people who have met previous requirements to get promoted. The company hires a lot of young people. While it is great that they're all new and malleable, they lack the experience of more seasoned workers. Thus you'll see mistakes made that more mature companies will already have handled. The firing emails are another thing. Out of the blue there will be an email to everyone "Effective immediately, John Smith no longer works for MediTract". People who otherwise appeared to be productive workers were escorted out. Right before I turned in my notice, one of my coworkers was fired. Right after I resigned, another two were fired. I've been in contact with all three of them since they've been fired and they are significantly happier now. Their manager (we all had the same one) kept them in a constant state of fear and anxiety while they worked there. While the upper management were a pleasure to work with, mileage varied wildly with each middle and lower manager. Some could be great to work with, others were not.
