It was really friendly, and they axplained me all the process. I managed to the technical interview but unfortunately I got rejected, because I didn't have the proper experience. But I will definetely try one more time for different position. I really enjoyed all the vibes they gave me.

There was an online coding test, classical algorithm style, then a technical interview that you talk about the online test. Than 2 technical interviews(one about your experience, one about knowledge & troubleshooting), and finally a board member interview just for a chat. There were too many steps but they were well organized. Interviewers were all kind & professional.

3 phone screens, one case study I met with multiple people on the account management team. Many rounds of phone calls before a case study for a case that was really dumb. The case study reviewers were extremely rude. After case study review there would be 3 more rounds of interviews.

Applied through career site and was contacted by the recruiter a day later asking to submit for availability. However, the recruiter just ghosted when followed up on the confirmation of the interview. Could have been professional by just replying if the position has been filled. Would never try again at this company.

I applied through online. I was contacted by a recruirter of Adyen right away. Afterwards, I had an interview with 2 team members. They were always looking their computers, and working at the same time while they were talking to me. Even though they were looking like listening to me, they weren't that interested at all from the beggining. I answered all their questions sincerely, and at the end they explained me how the next steps will be. After the meeting, in 10 minutes I got an email that say they wont be moving forward with me even though my skills are matching to the position. After I asked for feedback, I was told that the interviewers didnt see the enough spark and motivation for the Adyen. It seems like they are expecting people to be real fan of Adyen before joining them.

I was approached by a recruiter. I had one screening with the recruiter and one call with the hiring manger. My experience with the recruiter was great. However, my second phone call left a bad taste in my mouth. The hiring manager seemed really uninterested to talk to me and didn't seem prepared. I don't feel that I was asked questions that actually assessed my fit for the role. I do appreciate that I was told right away that they wouldn't be moving forward.

I interviewed for 2 different jobs. For the first job, the recruiter reached out to me, scheduled me for an initial interview with the hiring manger, and then cancelled the interview minutes before it was scheduled to start. For the second job, I spoke with another manager on the team for the first round, was asked to put together a case study presentation for the next round. After putting in a significant amount of time prepping, the interview was cancelled again. If you are interviewing at Adyen, I would try to get a good sense for where they are in the interview process and what their timeline is for hiring so you don't waste time preparing for interviews that will never happen.

I had great rounds of interviews where I could really feel the company culture coming across the interview process. That shows consistency. I made it all the way up to the 5th round (out of 7). Between interview rounds they were very responsive. As a negative point: after going through my 5th round, I had to wait longer than usual for any answers (that made me realise I may have not made it to the next round). Since I did't get any replies I had to reach out to them for news, and only then they got back to me with the news I didn't make it. Overall, my experience was good, but I wish they had been as reactive when everything is going well, as when they need to communicate candidates who are no longer of they're interest.

  • I can't remember many at the moment but the "Why the career switch?" did come across. What's the value I can bring to the team? They test how resourceful you are when tackling a problem, do you ask for help or not etc..

The technical assessment was a comprehensive exercise in machine learning. After the technical assessment I was interviewed by two senior data scientists. Both of them were very respectful and their questions were very precise, to the point and comprehensive. It was a very interesting data science discussion. After passing me to the next stage the recruiter told me that they have already filled-up the position I was applying for (why were they interviewing me if the process was already closed?) but she mentioned that they would like me for a different team. The next interview should have been with the lead data scientist of that team. Unfortunately, the lead could not attend and it was replaced by another team lead from a different team. From the beginning, the team lead was clearly annoyed that he had to perform the interview. One of the first thing he highlighted was that his team "has too many people already" and that he was not looking for more scientists (remember that I should have been interviewed for a different team, not for his team, but he clearly did not get the memo). He questioned every single detail of my CV, unfortunately the questions were not very well prepared. When I highlighted that his assumption about one of the jobs was erroneous, he completely dismissed my comment and proceeded to ask a question under the erroneous assumption anyways. Also, he was more concerned about rearranging his hair in front of the camera than listening to my responses. He even questioned my level of education asking about the benefit of a postgraduate education, since he had a lower one. He was completely unprofessional, unprepared and uninterested. A person like him can not be part of a recruiting process. After finalizing this meeting the recruiter told me that they will not proceed with the recruiting process due to some lack of knowledge. I have mentioned this lack of knowledge at the beginning of the recruiting process (3 interviews ago) and at the end I was rejected due to not having it, it was a joke. I felt a complete lack of professionalism and respect towards the job candidates from Ayden recruiter and Data science lead.
