Was contacted by recruiter, had initial screening call. Moved onto next step. I asked for accommodations and had to go back and forth numerous times before a manager was involved to get the information I needed. They said they would send me technical test instruction that meet my accommodation needs and they never did. Then I received a candidate survey without hearing about not getting the job or moving forward. Was very clear they were not prepared to hire persons with mental health disabilities and were not prepared to hire at this time. Process started in Dec and ended end of Jan.

I met six people, all interviews followed the typical format of describing my experience, answering questions about how my qualifications are applicable to the role, then asking them questions. Multiple people told me I got the role, however I had nothing concrete or in writing, then I got ghosted.

Received an email to book my interview. There were three interviews total. They were not that difficult. As soon as the first interview was 2-3 days later you’d receive an email stating if you they are moving forward with you.

I was ultimately left feeling like my time was wasted and not valued. I took a recruiter call that was fairly standard and received a follow up email that they would like me to complete a take home coding challenge. Normally I love a take home, its much more representative of doing actual work. I was in the middle of talking with a few companies so what I didn't track at the time was that it was unusual to get this sort of task after only speaking to a recruiter and not a hiring manager or someone closer to the actual position. The take home was quite easy and I had no difficulties completing it - but they always take up some of your time - and I sent it off feeling good about getting to talk to a hiring manager next. Obviously getting the job is never an assumption, but when I quickly received a stock "unfortunately we've decided" email I was taken aback and realized how strange the flow of this whole interview had been. This is partially on me for even doing the take home without talking to anyone past the recruiter first. I was ultimately left feeling like they had mindlessly thrown work at me that I then had to find time to do which was possibly not even looked at as they were potentially already pursuing other candidates. The moral of the story: Respect candidates time. Don't do any technical screening work without having at least talked to the hiring manager yet.

The communication of the interview process is vague and not transparent. Scheduling was awkward and the context of calls was not specified. After an initial call, they give you a take home case study. They told me to submit it but didn't tell me I was going to present it in the next call. After the presentation they told me that they will provide me with detailed feedback. I devoted my 4 full days to the case study, but they sent me a generic rejection reply without any feedback. The interviewer was stuck up and created an uncomfortable environment. Overall, I was not happy with the process.

Pre screening call and then scheduled call And then interview had proper technical questions. The interviewers had a person in mind for the specific jobs responsibility they had. They needed to know if specific tools are known or not

Scheduled Google Meet by providing available windows. Then automatically a meeting invitation is sent. Not sure of the rest of the process as the interview did not take place at the scheduled time. No one joined the meeting

I applied online, I was contacted pretty quickly by the hiring manager directly and I had one interview with her. The process was interview with hiring manager, a case study and then interview with the head of team.

HR says "you'll get a technical task, do it in 4 days and submit a github merge request". I get the task after 3 days, 1 day later HR says 4 days are over. I explain I only got the task 1 day ago. Anyway I do the task in 2days after my full time job. In the task they say they don't expect production code, to only use 3-4 hours, showcase some tests and that they care about the speed of execution a lot. I did the task, wrote some tests, added docker, optimized for speed, added arguments, etc... The code review starts after 1 week and they complain I didn't write enough tests and felt like a review for production code(which I tried to write anyway, assuming it's what they truly want). No comments if speed was ok or not. For a 3-4 hours demo project, how many tests do you expect, I proved I can write different types of tests. They ask for one thing, but checked for another. I am not sad about not passing.
