It was a panel interview and it was very scripted with how many questions. It did take a while for them to get back to me with a job offer.

Lots of situational questions ie "tell me about a time when you were assigned to fix a problem? How did you do it and what was the result? How do you communicate with peers, coworkers, and upper management?

It was the standard HR questioning, "describe a situation where you had to deal with an angry customer etc." Beforehand you are taken out to the parking lot to go over some basic procedures like loading a wheelchair and you are also asked to walk around the bus carrying a cone and various other things. I'm guessing this is done to see if you have basic mental and physical capabilities.

The MBTA is notorious for extremely long interview processes. It usually takes 6 months from applying to get an interview--and then 3-4 months after the interview to hear back if you got the job. The interview is always a panel with multiple people. Questions are extremely long and wordy for no good reason. So don't be afraid to ask them to repeat the question. There's always some sort of question about data analytics, some question about project management, and a question about diversity.

Zoom meeting with a panel of three who asked a pre determined standard list of 10 questions that would be used to fairly evaluate all applicants. There was time for questions by applicant at the end.

At the outset of the interview the two (highly irregular to have two interviewers) rapidly cut short the opening pleasantries. Rudely performed by one interviewer. They then insisted we had many questions to cover in a short period of time. This presented another shortcoming to the interview: a Head of Product role requires deep understanding and warrants a thoughtful discussion to determine qualifications. I responded to the alarming framing of the interview by rushing answers and attempting to pack in dozens of details in minimal time. A mere 15 minutes later they declared the end of the questioning. I responded I was stunned by this and that i had anticipated at least 10 more questions, based on their setup, and offered to go back over the previous questions stating I had “rushed in response to” their framing. They both declined this offer and failed to see how they had set the interview up with a failed structure. A short while later I asked if there was anything they had not heard they needed to hear, and with the short time remaining I covered the area proffered. In short the interviewers badly failed the interview and set the candidate up for failure then failed to correct this once it was pointed out.

Video conference with Senior Manager and Deputy based on job description compared to personal experience and resume as candidate. Reviewed key performance functions and analogous experience. Formal set of 10 questions with discussion/Q&A afterwards. Got a good sense of what the objectives of the group are, and that they are developing new capabilities in the organization and could use my skills, and that I would have opportunities to apply them and learn related processes.

Interview process was easy and took three weeks with three rounds . First was HR Screening followed by a technical round and then final round is a panel round. The technical round was the toughest round as they ask you job related tools and technologies for 1 hour

There was an initial phone screen with a recruiter, then a 45 minute video conference with the hiring manager and another team member. They were very kind and were clear about the timeline and other expectations.

First round was behavioral with HR, pretty simple stuff. Where you work, what have you done then a Coding challenge, make a status board data with real time data from their api
