Absolutely worst recruiting process. I applied to the position online, I got a response a few days after from Ines Vicente, asking me if I would be able to do a video call that week. I said yes, and I didn't hear anything back from her until a few weeks later. When we finally had the interview (it was a video call and I took half day off because of it), everything went well and she said I will receive a technical test to solve in the next few days. Of course, It's been 2 months and I didn't receive anything, until today, when somebody else announced me that "after careful discussion we've decided we won't be moving forward with you for this role". Very unprofessional HR!

I went through two steps, one with the head recruiter and one with the Android team lead. Both interviews was very nice and in a relaxed way. In the first one I introduced myself and talked about my expectations.etc. The second one was more technical, I was asked some very basic questions and then they give me a project to develop. The project was really easy and I developed it. Then they give me a feedback. I do not like the thing that I did not received an offer while during the second step it was quite certain (the interviewer told me this). I did some "errors" (most of all not properly errors, just coding style not matching the interviewer's one) but in my opinion not so bad to not receive an offer. I think I did not receive an offer mainly because my expectations was high, but I am searching abroad so I could consider any offer... In conclusion: the interview process was nice, people was really nice but I did not like the feedback that I received because I disagree with it.

The interview process was very long and kinda weird from the start. What I mean by weird exactly... their Senior HR contacted me for a quick talk next couple of days as she's available. I replied about the time/date and then suddenly I got answered from another HR replying on behalf of the first one that she's going to set the date/time with me for her. She also said that the Senior HR is not available this week (even though she just asked me if I'm available next couple of days 10 minutes ago) and set the initial talk in 3 WEEKS (!!). During the first talk Senior HR asked me about my salary expectations and if I need a visa. And she said it's fine they can make a visa no problem and salary is okay for them as well. I also said that I'm flexible in terms of the salary as I know salaries are lower in Spain so I'm fine with it. After the first talk I got contacted by third HR person regarding the next step. It felt like they have too many HRs doing a job of one and replying for each other. This HR person set another interview meeting, technical this time, with their iOS Mobile Lead - in about 2.5 weeks (!!). It seems like every hiring step in this company takes weeks literally. Their Mobile Lead was a very nice person, asking different personal and technical questions. He said he's going to recommend me, as I seem to be a great fit and they have a big problem finding a good iOS Developer for their company. And also said I need to do a home assignment, which he's going to send me same day or the morning after the latest. I didn't receive anything that or the following day. Wrote them to remind about the task in a couple of days and he sent me a home assignment. It consisted of 4 tasks: 1. Take a good look at the application they sent me (quiz about pokemons) and describe in a separate PDF file positives and negatives of the app design and architecture. 2. Some part of the logic of this app had problems and I need to find that flaw in the logic and fix it. I spent quite a good amount of time trying to understand it all and finally found something. I'm not sure it was it or not as I got no feedback whatsoever about my results in details. 3. Describe some block of code and what it's doing 4. Draw the whole screen of results with a lot of details instead of Alert view that they had in the app. The strange part about it was that I had to create the whole UI in pure code, no IB. Anyway, I finished all these tasks and got a reply in a couple of days that they're very happy about my results and they're going to make me an offer. And asked for my passport details. Then a very stupid thing happened. Suddenly next day instead of the offer I received an email saying that they don't wanna deal with the visa applications for me and also can't give me a good salary. I was like what the hell just happened?! So I asked them again, more out of curiosity, if they want to negotiate and why they didn't think about the visa process and salary from the start. They replied with some nonsense. Thus, I spent a lot of my time and energy during the hiring process in Mobgen and they didn't even care. During the first HR talk they said it's okay regarding the visa and the salary. And then at the end they didn't want to deal with the visa at all or negotiate a salary. They say to you we're moving to the offer stage and next day suddenly say bye bye cause we don't care to deal with anything. It was extremely unprofessional, to say the least, showing very bad attitude towards candidates. No wonder they can't find good programmers. And if they treat people like that in the beginning I imagine it only gets worse later. Days of my life wasted with Mobgen indeed.

One part is a presentation of the interviewer, then you must do the presentation and after that you will be asked to answer several technical questions which were very basic. I did it using a platform over the internet. Very informal, close and relaxing ambient,. About 1 hour and in the end the interviewer tells more about the company.

The interview has four steps: 1.- Call from recruitment 2.- Call from IT manager (in this case, Head Mobile) 3.- Test 4.- Test valutation They told me they would position me in a scale from 1 to 9 according to the results of the tests. I spent 2 days to do one of the best tests, using tools like RxJava, Butterknife, Retrofit, Uncle Bob Clean Architecture + MVP, Singleton/Repositories/Services/Restclient patterns, Single Responsibility Principle and many more, I'd say things of an experienced developer. They told me I would be a Junior/Mid developer instead of a Senior, and when I tried to ask why (comment with me the test, review it, see why I should be Junior or Mid) they didn't answer. Ines Vicente (Head of Talent Management) just replied my emails with the same text twice. Regarding the interview with Danny (Head of Mobile), getting any level, I should get an offer but I didn't get any. When I asked why, they said that the offer would be lower than my actual salary (but I'm changing country, so I accept that). They just refused to do the offer. Days of my life wasted with MobGen.

It was a very pleasant experience, the team sounded very professional and asked relevant questions. I was asked about general understanding of backend development, and then Nodejs/Javascript specifics. I was given two tasks, that tested my skills. First one was finding mistakes in a little javascript code, and the second one was writing a tiny backend application. I did well and I would recommend anybody to apply there, the interview experience was pleasant and interviewers were friendly.

Nadat ik had gesolliciteerd werd ik vrij snel gecontacteerd door een recruiter in Spanje. Met haar had ik dan ook een soort skype gesprek. Hierna had ik een meeting op het kantoor, wat nogal rommelig verliep. Een persoon was ook via skype aanwezig de andere zat er wel in het echt bij. Ze boden een salaris van 750 euro per maand, wat ik voor een afgestudeerde heel weinig vind (lijkt meer op een stage vergoeding). Ik had ook niet het idee dat ik echt een klik had met de personen met wie ik sprak. Na het gesprek kreeg ik al vrij snel een mailtje dat ik was afgewezen. Vond het niet erg onprofessioneel dat ze totaal geen feedback gaven wat de reden was.
