Sollicitatiegesprek

Process took 15 days. I had 2 skype interviews. First was with Product Manager Lead and the second was with 2 other members of the team. Instead of a "Senior" role, they wanted to offer me "Junior" role due to my experience, however the salary range was not enough according to Netherlands immigrant rules for Non EU citizens. They explained the reasons behind their choice and HR was really nice during the whole process.

I was approached by this company for this specific position. They asked me to send my resume to them. For which I did, then it took 2 weeks and still no reply so I had to email them to ask if they were still interested (I was) and they replied 1 week later for an interview time. The interview was a 30 minute conversation on Skype. Every question they asked and I answered they looked impressed and pleased, they ended with letting me know the interview went really well and wanted a 2nd interview. Then 3 weeks later still no word from them, so I reached out and they gave me a rejection offer saying they are going in a different direction. I feel brain raped! Game playing!

  • Typical opening questions (i.e. Tell me about your background) and also they asked me to describe what the responsibilities of a PM are. But they asked me one question "If you find an issue with the content, how do you find a solution? what are the steps?" - They wanted to know what I thought the responsibilities of the PM are but also they wanted details on resolving product issues. Sounded like they had workflow process issues and were looking for solutions on it as they inquired about details around this.
