What was my strategy to hire new personnel onto my perspective team. With my previous company all interviews were set up by Human Resources and sent to us to interview. We were not permitted to get involved with the actual recruiting process so this question threw me off.

I answered that I would first seek internal candidate because they should receive first consideration. Then if there were no qualified candidates from this pool I would start with social media (i.e. job boards, etc.) to get the word out that we were hiring. I would also call my peers in other districts/regions to let them know I had open spots in case they had transfers or personnel who knew of people.
