I attended Google data centre interview recently. The questions were purely application oriented and they testing your expertise in the field. I don't want to reveal the questions but everything is behavioral based. When you are in this situation how u face. They asked me nearly 15 questions. 8 from AHU problem faced daily by HVAC engineer. 3 questions from chiller. 1 from cooling tower, 2 from fire escape and pre actuated pipe. 1 from water treatment. All these questions were purely experienced based and this one cannot be answered other than the expertise who opened the chiller and AHU unit. Not even 1 question in basics, all questions are higher end. Minder

3 phase motors are motors whereby the windings are arranged to accept 3 phase power supplies. They are usually utilised for heavier, industrial applications and can be wound in star or delta configurations for different torque/load characteristics. Minder

Above is true for 3 phase motors. If question was about C-Face motors, those are motors that are used to directly mount to a pump or an adapter plate. Minder

I asked what the range was, but he pressed for my answer. I said $50/hr. The interviewer then lectured me that nobody makes that and begin listing how unqualified I was. Even if I had been offered the position, I would have turned it down based on the interaction with Sorrin. Minder
