Since the position is for a revenue management position, the interviewer will want to see that you can think through the math in a practical way. Don't guess. Instead, think aloud as you work out the answer. Here's a simple way to get a rough estimate of the number of basketballs that will fit in the room. Estimate the size of the room. Let's say it is about 10' x 10', with an 8' ceiling. Now, estimate the volume required for one basketball. To get a rough answer, don't get fancy with equations and dealing with the shape of the basketball. You may not be sure of the diameter of a basketball, but you have a rough idea. To make the math simple, figure that the ball is about 1' in diameter. The ball is the same width in all directions, so it takes up roughly 1 cubic foot of volume. How many cubic feet in the room? 10 time 10 time 8, or 800. So, there's room for approximately 800 basketballs. If I were interviewing a candidate for this type of position, I'd be very pleased if the candidate could think through that answer. But if this were a position for a role that involved more sophisticated math, such as a data analyst or engineering position, I would expect the candidate to go further and discuss how the estimate could be improved. The next step would be accounting for the exact dimensions of the room and basketballs. And an engineer should be aware of dense packing arrangements that could fit more basketballs into the room. That depends. Inflated or deflated ?

How many need to fit?

The reason it is 1/36 is because it does not specify which side it must be. Therefore the first roll does not really count. Once you take the first roll it will decide what you need to roll the next two times. Therefore the math is 1*(1/6)*(1/6)= 1/36. If they asked what is the probability of rolling a 6 three times in a row then it would be 1/216. Minder

Was asked the card question also. For a pair of cards to be dealt from a 52card deck is 3/51. So first card drawn doesnt matter so you have 3 cards out of the 51 cards left that will match the first hence 3/51 as the probability Minder

Its been 4 days since verbal offer, she said she needs supervisors signature for the written offer. Should I worried? Minder
↳
It could be that you are starting some time in January and they are just processing offers for those starting sooner. I would just follow up with your recruiter next week. Minder
↳
Yeah, you are right, I do start in January. Thank you. Lol
↳
They would likely do it after the 2nd interview. It is all done on site.
↳
Was the drug test after you accepted the offer? or was it before? I have already accepted offer had background/reference check, have not heard about drug test yet. Minder
↳
Hey, i have my Skype interview tomorrow, if they choose to pursue me further, when would they administer the drug test? Minder

I used for-loops and character arrays and got the question right.

I think the double index way is pretty neat. for(int i=0,j=n-1;i

5/36 is right.... Combinations that add up to six: 1 and 5, 2 and 4, 3 and 3, 4 and 2, 5 and 1. So we have 5 successes. There are 36 individual outcomes because there are 6 sides on each die and 6*6 = 36 So we have 5/36. Minder

Is an offer supposed to be a benefit? How many places offer better pay, work perks, and can also avoid toxic work culture ? I know I landed in one ;) Minder

This organization is clearly too serious for you 😂. In case you didn’t realize, the security clearance isn’t an “interview”. It’s just a test to make sure you are not crazy. If you start the clearance, you basically have the job (unless you did drugs or something else really stupid). Minder

rather not go to your low side of management skills! come here to get along with others and work as you do none of the above. Minder
