It's Friday afternoon, a customer calls with mayor issues, you have to finish three proposals before Monday, you have to work on your pipeline and you are about to go off to a weekend with your family. What do you do?
First I would help the customer to tell him I'm on it and that I'll call him back within 15 minutes. Seeing I'm a person of planning and that I have my stuff arranged, that pipeline is not an issue. I prefer to schedule the time I'm working on a proposal, so it would be a surprise if a proposal is to be made during the weekend, but I would also contact the account managers to see what is possible to postpone the proposals. I would call back the customer and give him feedback on the actions I set-out to solve his problem and to get it fixed.
Why? Because you paid money for a job. What a stupid question in our century. People changes job because of location, money and lifestyle. What company do cares very few people unless their are CEO (even not sure if it's true)
