AI Innovation Engineer
40 hours a week - Medior to Senior position - Utrecht

Altura is looking for a creative, up-to-date, and driven AI Innovation Engineer who will become a central figure in our AI team. Your primary role will be to generate powerful proof-of-concept (POC) projects for new AI features and products using cutting-edge technologies and techniques. What is a Tender and RFP?
Both are a formal way to procure services and goods the biggest distinction however whether it is purchased by the government or a company. When bought by the government (tender) a law applies which sets specific rules for these purchases. Tenders ensure fair competition between companies and offer opportunities to smaller and start-up companies. In this way, taxpayers' money is spent responsibly on social issues. If these rules do not apply, it is called an RFP.

What are you going to do?
As an AI Innovation Engineer, you will be creating POCs for AI features that, once proven valuable, will be incorporated into our core product by our dedicated Product team. You will also maintain a keen awareness of emerging AI technologies and methodologies, strategically adopting them to keep our products at the forefront of innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Driving the creation and development of innovative POCs for AI features and products.

• Utilizing C#/.NET, SQL Server, and ASP.NET Core to architect and develop the server-side of our web applications.

• Utilizing Python, TensorFlow, or other relevant frameworks to integrate and deploy state-of-the-art machine learning models.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide technical expertise.

• Conducting thorough research on the latest advancements in AI, staying ahead of the curve to ensure our product remains innovative.

• Monitoring the performance of deployed machine learning models.

• Supporting and collaborating with the rest of the team to ensure a smooth development process.

Requirements:

• Proactive and eager to learn, able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.

• Experience in backend development with C#/.NET, SQL Server, and ASP.NET Core.

• Proven experience in developing and implementing machine learning models using Python, TensorFlow, or other relevant frameworks.

• Strong understanding of various machine learning algorithms and techniques, such as deep learning, reinforcement learning, and natural language processing.

• Proficiency in data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation.

• Familiarity with Vue/Nuxt or a willingness to learn.

• Strong awareness of the latest trends and developments in AI.

• Strong ideation skills and creativity in solving complex problems.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Here at Altura, security is very important to us. The ideal candidate will have at least a basic knowledge of ISO 27001 and is willing to fully adhere to our information security management system guidelines regarding risk management, cyber-resilience and operational excellence.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with big data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).

• Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

• Familiarity with DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines.

• Understanding of scalable and distributed computing.
