We have an exciting opportunity for a Customs Administrator in our Venlo office.
What You’ll Do:
As a Customs administrator, you work accurately and have strong analytical skills, but are also solution oriented and able to think outside the box to solve problems.
You are a flexible learner and adapt to a continually evolving work environment by being open to new learning opportunities and feedback.
The Customs administrator is part of the Customs Compliance Team and reports into the Manager Customs Compliance.
You are responsible for administrative tasks within the Customs department, in cooperation with the other members of the Customs team to support inbound and outbound operations.
You work closely with the DC Operations team and the Logistics team.
  • Daily execution of customs processes:
    • Maintain bonded DC administration in DMS
    • Collect LTD’s/COO’s (Proof of origin)
    • Prepare inbound files scheduled to arrive within the Bonded warehouse
    • Release inbound shipments
    • Process inventory adjustments in the DMS
    • Generate Outbound required documents
    • Operate accordingly the MK AEO procedures
    • Take care of archiving of inbound & outbound documents.
    • Take care of reporting of the Customs processes
  • Identify changes and act adequate
    • Monitors focused progress of customs related administrative tasks
    • Taking corrective actions where needed in cooperation with the team
  • Internal and external provision of information
    • Identifies potential improvements on administrative tasks within the Customs department and reports these to the Manager Customs Compliance EMEA
  • Planning
    • Coordinates the operational planning of the administrative tasks to be performed
  • Administer:
    • Optimize administrative processes
    • Keeps record of the customs formalities
You’ll Need to Have:
  • MBO working- and thinking level
  • Experienced MS Office
  • Knowledge of the Dutch as well as the English Language (verbal and written), any additional language is a plus
  • Knowledge of forwarding, transportation and Logistics processes
  • Base knowledge of Customs
  • Social skills for maintaining internal and external contacts
  • Knowledge of forwarding, transportation and logistics
