About the role

The Regional Sales Manager – Europe is responsible for managing the sales distribution and OEM customer base and developing business within Western Europe (Belgium, France, Italy, Germany, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, and Switzerland). This includes maintaining and recommending changes to the distribution system within the territory, sales development programs and customer training. The role carries an assigned sales quota.


Bachelor's degree in a relevant Engineering Discipline preferred, with some practical sales and marketing experience.


  • Residency in one of the EU countries mentioned
  • Five years in field sales preferably in OEM industrial/commercial HVAC components, combustion controls or instrumentation
  • Technical knowledge of the systems and processes used in the combustion controls, Utility, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, HVAC and Industrial Process
  • Project tracking (maintaining a CRM system) and knowledge of EPC channels
  • Familiarity with nationally recognized test agency certifications for combustion and safety equipment
  • Good written skills and the ability to create detailed trip reports, customer proposals and quotations
  • In addition to English, French, German, Italian spoken language skills will be definite advantage


  • The main focus of this position will be to develop new business via project intelligence gathering, prospecting and building new contractor relationships.
  • Working with local offices of international OEM’s and identifying opportunities within various contract scopes relevant to Fireye products
  • Distribute information to Fireye international RSM’s and follow up of projects
  • Identifying ‘package’ vendors who may be awarded sub-contracts with scope inclusive of Fireye products.
  • Direct customer contact within the territory including all Distributors, OEM's, contractors, and OEM representatives.
  • Provide local sales and support to the OEMs in the territory, assess their needs and provide strategies to improve market share with them.
  • Complete annual sales objectives,
  • Timely preparation of call reports and completion of other tasks as they arise.
  • Establish an Annual Business Plan with each Distributor and OEM. Conduct a yearly performance appraisal & review.
  • Conduct formal and informal Product Training for all local customers as necessary.
  • Implement new product introductions and promotions.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and image during all business relations.
  • Reporting product problems and deficiencies.Suggest new product ideas and existing product modifications with significant volume potential.
  • Maintain customer files on sales history and up-to-date address and contact list.
  • Provide product application support as needed.
  • Conduct business within Carrier’s policies and procedures
  • Work alongside the existing Manager of Sales for EMEA to enhance the business of Fireye & Fenwal.
