Proposal Team Manager
BROAD STROKES
  • Strategic Fit Determination (Project by project basis)
  • Prioritizing of opportunities based on Value Selling Sales Process (“Gate Keeping”)
  • FBR (Firm Bid Review) Stakeholder (Pre-Order Project Approval Process together with Sales, OPS, Finance, Supply, Legal etc.)
  • Consultation (alignment) for AOP / Forecasting (with sales leader)
  • SIOP Stakeholder (to be defined as to input)
  • Project Review (loop closing)
  • Ideation, Sales strategy stakeholder / contributor

This is a Global role that will require working and supporting global sales teams and customer base. The role calls for leading a global team of Application and proposal engineers specialized in [product.] The Role will Manage in the Global Biogas Sales Support department (Application and Proposal) responsible for the process designs, equipment sizing and proposals of [product].
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Manage your inside sales team, Help develop / hire a team of proposal engineers to support global sales teams and customers
  • Develop and manage tools for inside sales team
  • Manage technical information and pricing estimates relating to parts bids on new equipment. Review customer requirements, project / bid / RFQ specifications, and application information to determine the best technology for the project.
  • Participate in meetings with Sales and external customers to explain and support all technical aspects of the Proposal
  • Manage the development of project proposals with detailed scope of supply of equipment, description of process guarantees and pricing, to meet Bid / tender or customer specifications
  • Be involved with kick-off meetings with customers, consultants and other stakeholders as and when required
  • Develop submittal documentations as required for proposals and in the project execution stage
  • Be part of post project review processes
  • Gate keeper for first pass contract reviews, manage risk in contracts
  • Responsible for supporting proposal calculations and, if necessary, determining priorities between the various requests for support.
  • Bid support / coordination with interdepartmental teams to determine delivery times for customers (eventual SIOP support)
JOB REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor in engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in a sales / sales engineering
  • Demonstrable experience in combining commerce and technology, capable of weighing the balance between commercial opportunity and technological risk.
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken.
  • Must be a good communicator with excellent verbal and written skills
  • People management experience
  • Experience with process design and proposal preparation of biogas upgrading plants
  • Experience in [membrane / Amine] applications in Biogas
  • Experience in customer facilities / processes
