Flexibility, 3 work modes to choose from, talented and genuinely nice colleagues, amazing benefits, a lot of support and care from the employer, beautiful offices, range of activities and workshops organized for employees, overall a very cool product/platform and company to be a part of. I have been with the company for 1 year only and I still miss it and my colleagues dearly. I had to relocate to another country in Europe where Etsy, unfortunately, did not have presence. During my time at Etsy I had a wonderful manager supportive of my mental health and well-being, fun colleagues, I felt valued and appreciated, and also my most productive. The befits the company provides are truly exemplary, there are always lots of events like pizza evenings, theme parties, cooking classes, painting workshops and many more organized on pretty much a weekly basis. They also have pet-friendly offices, free catered food and too many other awesome things to list. The office is a place you want to come back to and be at for its vibe and the atmosphere.
Minpunten
There are not many to be honest. The only main con for me was the repetitive nature of work and the amount of it to process combined with the constant pressure of knowing that there’s still so much to do the next day. I’d say it’s quite typical for tech companies. At some point you realize your work is not challenging (analyst level roles). The working hours, however, were very reasonable and nobody was pressured into working overtime. And there are always opportunities to grow at this company if you perform and have the right attitude.
