Pluspunten
A really comfortable, inclusive, understanding work environment, with interesting work, loads of flexibility and room for growth, and lots of (non-mandatory) out-of-hours fun.
I noticed the difference in Polarsteps' approach right from the beginning: the hiring process was really efficient, transparent and respectful — at every stage I was informed about when I would next hear from them, and they followed through on that promise. During my onboarding, I was encouraged to take my time to get to know my role, the company culture, and the people. I love the editorial work that I do, my working days are never stressful, and there's freedom to suggest and take on new projects, and for learning and development. As a company, we do loads of fun activities together, including trips abroad (but it's never mandated fun), and there are so many perks, including the annual Teleporter. The best thing is that the company understands we are all human beings with needs and lives outside of our jobs. I'm a parent and there's so much flexibility for all team members, which means I can work my home responsibilities around my job much more easily with no judgement.
