Minpunten
The management here tends to play favorites and prioritizes building personal relationships with colleagues over effectively leading their teams. As a result, it can be quite challenging when managers fail to properly oversee their staff. Staff members receive inadequate training for their roles, leading to frequent errors that ultimately result in significant costs for the company. When I requested additional resources for training and development to grow in my position, the response from upper management was simply that I needed to "figure it out" on my own. It's a heavily German-speaking company, and there aren't many accommodations for those who don't speak the language. The environment is very cutthroat—if you're not fully committed to the firm (i.e. giving all available time on nights and weekends to them), they tend to disregard you. Employees with children have more flexibility, while those of us without kids are often expected to take on extra work and cover for others.
