I never heard anything until I called and called the event organisers who then said that they already found their people but that they would very much like to continue with me for other possibilities(?). I contacted the person they assigned, who was very positive but simply never furthered the process anywhere. We met once and in a follow up call and texting he promised to take it to the next step. After this I never managed to get contact with him again. He simply did not answer any calls or messages. I did not want to seem desperate so I kept my contacting at a reasonable level and stopped after ca 3 months. To me this kind of indecision and unavailability seems both unprofessional and rude. Eventually I got convinced it was not the right culture for me.
