Binary search is meaningful only on sorted data, not on un ordered data, (Note - Now you should understand panel just want to troll you and have no idea of conducting meaningful interview, ask them used case and discuss alternative ways to solve the problem like you are assisting your junior,. if he plays over smart than tell him used case is not your experience and ask him to ask meaningful relevant questions)
