Data Scientist: Today had a coding test (first round) as a part of interview process, What i felt like it was just baseless (One Hour /3 questions). i strongly believe Coding Skill has to be tested by means of a complex algorithm written available and the candidate has to decode the code with comments for each line of code Likewise describing what has been stored or what operation is going on . After all in real world, we construct the algorithm by making strong use of available resources (internet) and not a written exam. Above all, In Data Science "the approach" is significantly more important than what we code. And definetly most of the algorithm builders has a syntax problem even I'm one of those which i do solve with the help of my best friend "Google". However it was a awesome experience with fractal analytics , but i feel the system has to be changed a bit especially for the platform "Data Scientist" ......May be or May not be short listed for the next round ........
