I had a special project that I had been working on that was coming due, and I was handed an urgent report that was needed. I assessed where I was with both projects and how much time each project would take, and determined if I worked an extra 30 minutes that day I could accomplish both projects. I then explained my thought process to my manager and he approved the OT.
