The most difficult question was regarding a DC motor. 'what will happen if we remove the magnetic field?' I answered that since there will be no field, there won't be any torque generated and hence the motor would not work.

I believe what would happen is that you would burn out the stator of the DC motor. It happens because there is no resistance from the field and the stator wiring has infinite current which causes it to burn up.
