Oh, where to begin? Perhaps with the co-founder, who narrowly survived a two year-long criminal investigation by the skin of his teeth. Given the allegations and proof to back them up, it's amazing he isn't in prison as we speak.
And rather than shuffle him away after his acquittal or simply paying him to go away, the company has welcomed him back with open arms to, presumably, get back to being as destructive as possible or squandering resources on lavish conferences for senior staff on private islands in the Venetian lagoon while my now former colleagues couldn't even get certificate updates for the software and tools we need to do our jobs.
Azerion is currently wrapping up a much-needed rebranding effort. Its website was overhauled with slick graphics and imagery, but note that it doesn't contain a jobs/hiring page. Very curious, no? That is because they're trying to make do with as little staff as possible and outsourcing as much as possible.
They've gone all in on AI and think this is the pathway back to success and dragging their pathetic stock value back above 2 Euros a share. It won't happen. As with prior industry fads like meme coins and NFTs that went nowhere and suckered many people out of billions, they're about a full year behind their competitors and have no clever ideas to separate themselves from the herd.
What they're working on is the same old already exhausted and low quality AI content typically described as 'slop' no one wants. As has happened so many times in the past at Azerion, the powers-that-be are once again convinced an obvious go nowhere fad will make them billions as they squander valuable resources.
And it won't.
In the interim, everyone in a mid management position or below is completely miserable. This is not a company that believes in rewarding their hardworking staff, let alone acknowledging their efforts. They receive no bonuses, no pay increases, and are treated like beasts of burden. They've made no secret that they'd replace all of them with AI at the drop of the hat if they could.
So, yes. Find work elsewhere. Every minute you spend at Azerion will be a squandered one.
