Pluspunten
* A lot of flexibility in terms of what role you want. Easy to switch to a different role * My compensation was above market rates * Coworkers on same level were amazing, beers on Fridays, good to have a laugh with * Working on incredibly challenging products, could really sink my teeth into technical problems.
Minpunten
* The aforementioned flexibility leads to dropped responsibilities and lack of building organisational knowledge * American company culture through-and-through. Lots of things go against Dutch culture, e.g. top-down decision making, shallow socialising with American coworkers (very out of sight out of mind), expect people to set their own boundaries (which in the Netherlands is done differently and leads to bad work/life balance), employees are often not consulted on major decisions. I still don't understand why ChargePoint acquired ViriCiti years ago without properly managing this friction. * Management seems to be only experienced in marketing & sales, not engineering. Difficult to have discussion with because they're not on the same level as engineers. * While company is multinational, it is very America-focused. Other offices are underrepresented in company-wide presentations. * High employee attrition rate
