Pluspunten
Amazing company that truly fosters personal growth and invests in its employees. In addition to flexible working hours, employees can attend one tech conference per year (agreed upon within the team), and — as a fun bonus — receive great swag and branded hoodies.
The company provides top-of-the-line laptops, tools, and AI subscriptions of your choice. If needed, you can also request an ergonomic chair and standing desk for your home office, ensuring excellent quality of life both at work and remotely. During my first two years, I had a company car, but later opted for the mobility budget instead, which allowed me to cover nearly three-quarters of my apartment rent at the time.
Saving the best for last: while startups often offer competitive salaries to attract and retain talent, Investsuite even went the extra mile. Seeing €5.500 gross in my contract as my first salary as a Junior Quantitative Analyst felt almost surreal. True to their commitment to employee development, after about a year and a half I was promoted to Senior Quantitative Analyst and received another substantial raise.
Investsuite will always hold a special place in my heart. Over more than three years, I grew tremendously and built many meaningful connections, both professional and personal. The only reason I left was to pursue my own business venture — a path I likely wouldn’t have been able to take without the strong salary and benefits I received there.
Minpunten
Company car: Falls on the lower end of the spectrum in terms of quality and options.
Contract negotiations: Be prepared for a very tough negotiation process and make sure you know your worth. In my experience — and based on conversations with colleagues at the time — the initial offer feels like lowballing. The approach seems intentional, effectively testing whether candidates have the grit and confidence to push back rather than accept the first draft. Those who negotiate firmly are much more likely to secure a significantly improved final package. It’s also important to note that certain benefits (such as conference attendance, company car options, and home office equipment like standing desk or ergonomic chair) are not explicitly included in the initial contract. Candidates are expected to raise and negotiate these points themselves and ensure everything is clearly documented in writing as part of the negotiation
