Startup environment leads to very quick changes and intense deadlines

Compensation, benefits, promotions, career path. Based in accedemia and a strong base of research scientist means the company has below average perks and incentives for it's employees. The focus is on improving the lives of cows, animal aggriculture, climate change, and the global food production system. Employees come after that and with an expectation that they are willing to be paid less and have no other incentives for the sake of doing good. Most well-funded scaleup companies with hundreds of millions of euros don't act like a non-profit working on a bootstrap budget.
