The company is run by senior leaders who seem stuck in old ways of working and are slow to change. Moving up in the company is difficult, and real career growth opportunities are rare. While the company does a good job of attracting skilled people with nice job titles, benefits, and big promises about values, the reality is different once you’re hired. Employees are often treated as a cost problem rather than as people, and are expected to do more and more with fewer tools and less support. This usually means taking on extra roles and stress to make up for bad decisions made higher up. People are often promoted into management roles simply because they’ve been around a long time, not because they are good leaders. Micromanaging behavior is common and even rewarded. Although the company talks a lot about diversity and inclusion, it mostly feels like talk for marketing purposes, not something that truly shapes daily work. Getting ahead internally often depends on agreeing with managers and fitting in, rather than on how well you actually perform. The HR team focuses heavily on winning “best employer” awards, but does little to fix real workplace problems or support employees properly. Pay increases are discouraged, speaking up is risky and not appriciated, and long-term career development is limited. Workloads are heavy, overtime is unpaid, and managers regularly contact employees outside working hours. Wellbeing initiatives are in place, but instead of helping, they often become another task added to an already overwhelming workload, with attendance expected rather than optional. They tend to focus on useless surface-level advice (how to take care of yourself) instead of fixing what actually causes stress in the workplace. If you are talented and acheiver, care about your health, your family, and having a life outside of work; if you want to grow in your career, be treated fairly, and work in a respectful environment without favoritism, bullying, or office politics—this company is not a good match for you.
