    Professional, helpful & friendly people. Everyone is trying to make the best games they possibly can.

    Occasional long work hours, but nothing crazy. INSATIABLE drive to make top-shelf AAA games against all odds.

    - Some interesting projects
    - Passionate people and co-workers that are fun to hang out with
    - Comfortable offices, though that depends on department
    - Decent entryway into the industry, though further development opportunity is rather meager

    Minpunten

    - Nepotism
    - Management often does not do necessary research before committing to an idea
    - Low salaries when compared to the market
    - Micro-management by higher executives
    - Lack of motivation incentives and clear bonus structure. I've worked in a department that was never awarded during over three years of work
    - Management/meeting overhead getting in the way of actually doing development work
    - General lack of company-wide employee retention initiatives. Some people are deemed 'expendable' in the bigger company picture

    Get to know your professionals and consult them during the decision making process. There are a ton of passionate people at your company that rarely get the chance to fulfil their ambitions at work, even though they're more than capable to do so.

    - great people;
    - some good projects.

    Minpunten

    - low salaries;
    - outdated approach (sexism, bad overall company culture);
    - nepotism;
    - employing and promoting people not based on skills;
    - small-town approach to pretty much everything;
    - lack of professionalism;
    - micromanagement, egotism;
    - constant "being in the process of creating a process";
    - the company doesn't know what it wants.

    Advies aan management

    Realize the company has grown, and act accordingly. Limit micromanagement, and make sure people you promote to higher positions don't lack necessary basic skills.

    - Interesting projects (not only zombie games)
    - Great, talented people who are able to create great things (despite awful technology)
    - Relaxed atmosphere
    - No-crunch policy
    - Opportunity to develop your skills and learn from more experienced people
    - Wages paid on time

    Minpunten

    - Technology and tools years behind industry standard (you need to get used to working using notepad)
    - "Good enough" mentality among Wroclaw top management resulting in heavy reuse of previous projects game code and outdated technology
    - Hands-on CEO (residing in Wroclaw) often intervenes in game design and always has final word in every decision (he always knows best despite being advised otherwise)
    - Low to average salaries and very poor bonuses

    Advies aan management

    - Start trusting in the people you hire and listen to their advice instead of trying to make them accept your point of view
    - Improve the technology and tools before trying to make another AAA game - stop trying to develop AAA games based on the previous title game code and technology.
    - Think about investing some real money in the people doing all the hard work if you want to keep them. When they make the decision to leave, they will leave no matter what they are offered at that point.

    Pluspunten

    - Home-like atmosphere. With it's all pros and cons, but in general it's a good thing. It's very hard to not know most of the people after a year or two.
    - Directness - people out there prefer more a direct contact, than 'channels' and 'procedures'
    - They really keep up with the technology and hardware
    - There are producers that really care for your work atmosphere and are there to support you
    - If something wrong is going on - people realize and talk it out. Weird situations get solved eventually, either they are personal conflicts or missed ideas in management.
    - They pay good actually
    - No strict corporate management

    Minpunten

    - Some of the decisive (especialy in Art department) people are here just because of their years experience, not actual experience, not really adding any value to the project.
    - People who actually know their stuff are easily fired if they are not 'liked' enough by majority (jealousy might sound like a cliche but here it's a real thing, especialy among artists)
    - A lot of good people working on the most profitable projects were either fired or left without any chance for negotiations
    - People with junior experience can easily get promoted - but they still remain juniors.
    - Almost none or very low bonuses
    - Almost no crunch, and if so it's negotiated in advance

    Focus on specialists - they made you. Forget democracy, you know by now it doesnt work here.

    People in general, industry itself, attractive projects, some of the benefits, HR team, you can learn from other pros there

    Minpunten

    Micromanagement, managers without people skills, lack of trust, lack of work life balance, weird bonus system (you need to be close to ceo to get an attractive one)

    Pluspunten

    In-house engine & tools give a lot of opportunities to gain unique knowledge (from low-level thru consoles to big data). Technology dept is separated (but not too far) from game development. You build tools/engine for the rest of company. Access to new devices/tools before they enter the market (vrs, cpus, gpus, consoles etc) Benefits (medical care, parties, canteen) and a lot of experienced people that are able to create cool games

    Minpunten

    Large codebase, sometimes outdated, but it`s not a problem for skilled engineer after a few months. Like in every big company I`ve worked - small dose of creative chaos that sometimes bite
