Pluspunten
A lot of (superficial) effort in to diversity and inclusion and a lot of "fluff" about superficial achievements.
Minpunten
The whole diversity and inclusion aspect, is just an "obligatory" effort, mainly to get an empty "great place to work" certificate which is an empty shell, basically, it is just "checking a list" so you get that cert, it doesn't actually mean anything. HR is extremely inefficient and yes, from a tech perspective, it is just another RE financial company, hopelessly outdated although they want to make you believe otherwise. Even putting in or receiving feedback from managers or peers, is a hopelessly inefficient process. Also, the company is very hierarchal, good ideas to improve, are deafened up the chain so senior managers can stay in the spot they sit in. Who wants to improve if it might impact their role right? The CEO is very vocal and present and is definitely a sales motivator, I should maybe put that in positive points but there is a complete disregard for people other than the ones that are in production and have tangible targets and results. He shares stories often via email to the entire company, but 100% of the time, it is about a deal made here or there that was impactful but with complete disregard to the people around it that made it possible, that also showed in speaker he invited during the company off-site, an old-school 80's style guy making fun of blue-collar workers or anyone in general that isn't involved in direct sales. The day after, he tried to cover that up a bit but you can't make me believe that he didn't know what kind of person he brought in. It is directly contrary to the principles they have their mouth full of... If you're in Tech like me, don't bother joining this company. They acquired a company recently that has nice tech solutions to make everyone's job easier but all that was about was the intellectual property, the current tech dept has really talented people but I would say, they are more talented than what this company deserves.
