It is not an IT company, total caos, bad leadership, only politics. Stay away.
Pluspunten
The Product per se is good. It makes a lot of users happy with the entertainment content. Bug user base with super fans. You have everything to work on a great product that brings only positive things to people but the company ruins it all! - Some nice people wasting their time in a toxic environment - Some parasites that stay in the company for ten years to eventually be promoted after making many friends. - The content is what is saving the company. Disney+ can't innovate AT ALL and will die if not for their content. Still I am not sure they can survive with a stagnated product like this. They are killing HULU too.
Minpunten
- Management it total caos. No direction and alignment at all. - No diversity, no HR and people management at all. No plan to change it - Promotions is based in politics and friendship ONLY. Promotions are mostly not even announced because they can't justify it. It's all a big secret. - Redundancy in all levels. People in high levels with good salary doing nothing and fighting for a piece of a piece of work that other 100 people are also fighting for. - No scope/ team definition. Total top down management. - Product teams just execute what Leadership decides and it takes at least a year to have this piece of feature live. - If you want to work with product management, ship features, analyse user data, make decisions about the product, work with engineering teams, etc.. Then you must STAY AWAY from this company. No matter what they say to you. - If you like to work on a "consultancy style" more with Project management and is good on politics and don't really want to define product direction and features but navigate though a big org + have some free time, maybe something you will enjoy.
