The workload, lack of support, and overall environment make the compensation feel not worth it. Due to globalisation, managers are often based outside the UK and don’t fully understand UK employment rules, which creates ongoing issues with policies and accessing UK specific benefits. Questioning decisions or policies is consistently a struggle. Support is limited and often replaced with micromanagement.
