If you fight for a higher salary they will likely cave and give it to you if you have any sort of work experience outside college. They do try to pay lowest possible salaries though. They hire a lot of talented and cool people and will offer out-of-office get-together with food and drinks on them. (This does not outweigh all of the many cons for me but it is a pro).

Let me be blunt. My time at 829 Studios was miserable. A lot of these five-star reviews are likely from young people who have never worked at a proper agency before. I imagine that if you are fresh out of college and didn’t know any better this might be a good place to gain experience and get a foothold in the industry. However, if you have any experience what-so-ever you will realize pretty quickly how unorganized 829 Studios really is. They started off as a small agency and opportunities and growth were easy to come by. Then they started to sign on more big clients and suddenly needed a mass hiring frenzy to keep up with the workload. The workload is constant and does not stop. Other reviews will say that some people “aren’t the right fit for a fast-paced agency." That’s just ridiculous . There’s a difference between a fast-paced agency and this absolute mess. 829 Studios will try to make all their problems your fault and will not adhere to their promises - either to you or the client. I will never recommend this place to anyone and my recommendation for anyone thinking about interviewing is to run. Run fast and don’t look back. Other cons: - Stressful work environment. - Little to no engagement with other teams until you meet them while jumping on a project that you have had no prior knowledge about. - Pay raises are low. - Clients are hard to work with - this is mostly due to mismanagement from the leadership level down but it doesn't make for a pleasant work experience for anyone. - No training for new team members. No one will set up any meet and greet meeting so that's on you to do. When asking for help you will likely be told they have documentation for everything and will be sent a link for you to read through. Once you read through it you're expected to know how to do you job completely even though this documentation will likely change three times within the year. Also these changes will not be actively communicated. It makes for a very confusing work place where you will think you're doing things the "right" way only for someone to tell you later on that that was wrong. This will somehow make it your fault and management will blame you for not having re-read the documentation each time it's updated.
