I had the opportunity to experience all diffrent departments in the company. Started as Customer service representative got promoted to sales and then promoted to Technical solutions representative. When i got promoted to sales i was looking forward to the sales commision as i had great start and i was always above target for my sale numbers. I finished my first quarter with great numbers but management advice that commission won't be paid any longer due to the Royal commission stopping companies paying commision but was promissed that the pay review will reflect accordingly. When our pay got reviewed some consultants got almost $12000 increase but i had less then $2000 increase and the reason was that i haven't had enough sales numbers for higher pay, but i had almost same numbers as top sales consultant for that quarter. I was disappointed but hoped to progress within the company and get BA role once i have gained enough experience. After 1 year i got promoted to Technical solutions representative role. The starting pay wasnt great but i was happy to climb another step towards my goal. While working as Technical solutions representative my team was doing huge amount of work but getting paid less then some lazy service seniors. Upon approaching the management for better pay, we were always given the false hope and advised that our pay is market alligned. (Reality is you get paid more if your manager likes you, its all about favoritism).while waiting for BA role i found out that one of the managers created a BA role and gave it someone who was hand picked by them (less experienced staff). No one was given the opportinity to apply for the role as it wasn't advertised anywhere. I think this company needs to really review their company culture if they care about their employees. I have experienced very toxic company culture over the period of 5 years. They always talk about transparency but never let employees discuss their salaries with each other (because they know that people are getting unfair pay) During covid the upper management did not check on their employees to see if they need support even though i worked through entire covid period without any long leave. I appreciate my team leader who tried to stand up for his team but was shut down by higher management and at last he left the company and with him gone our last hope was crushed. I just hope that everyone who is getting underpaid realize that they are a lot more outside then what AA INSURANCE is paying them after working almost 5-10 years.
