the pay is not amazing the flexibility of wfh is a great perk, the company ethos of being genuine has been lost for some time but there are still some gems in the company that really make you proud to work alongside them. The products provided by the company are top notch, I can vouch for the fact that AAI will not do its customers wrong ( so far )

Limited Support and Internal Progression: I found that support for staff was often limited, and opportunities for internal progression were not as prevalent as one might hope. This can create a stagnating work environment for employees looking to advance their careers. Salary Transparency Issues: There is a strong culture discouraging discussions around salaries. While some level of confidentiality can be normal, it becomes problematic when employees discover that new hires are being offered significantly higher salaries than even the top performers, even if you are the one training them. This lack of transparency can lead to dissatisfaction among existing staff. Questionable Hiring Practices: Hiring decisions often seemed arbitrary, with team leaders being moved across departments without a clear understanding of the roles they were overseeing. This has led to instances of incompetent leadership, where leaders lack the necessary knowledge and experience to guide their teams effectively. This not only creates confusion but also fosters an unhealthy working environment and a significant power imbalance among staff. Disjointed Training Processes: The training provided is often disjointed, with trainers lacking the necessary knowledge about the material they are teaching. This results in underprepared staff entering the workforce, which creates additional internal pressure on other departments to address these gaps in knowledge and skills. Favoritism in Promotions: Favoritism is prevalent throughout the company, with more experienced and knowledgeable staff frequently passed over for promotions. This often occurs in favor of individuals who engage in sycophantic behavior rather than demonstrating true competence. Such practices undermine morale and discourage high performers from striving for advancement. Being Held Back from Advancement: Employees who excel at their jobs may find themselves overlooked for roles they are genuinely interested in. This creates frustration and discourages high performers, leading to a lack of motivation among talented individuals.
