- Minimal support from head office, operations managers and senior management - High expectations but minimal training - Long hours, 9-12 hour days. Sometimes no breaks (or interrupted) as a manager if it’s busy. - Minimal flexibility, leave rejected, punished for taking sick days or having family issues even if during the week. - Constantly understaffed and constant labour cuts. Constantly overworked and stressful job. - Systems extremely outdated and make it hard to learn as well as work effectively. - Negative attitudes from staff as a result of the above and as a result of managements lack of support and high expectations. - Customer complaints due to quality, long wait times, dirty tables. Mainly due to lack of staff. - High revenue company that appears to neglect venues with many outdated and in need of repair. - Salary does not match how hard you need to work nor the hours. - Open every day of the year, even Christmas. Full time staff FORCED to work Christmas Day with no option, which I find extremely inconsiderate. This company does not value its staff or their family and wellbeing. - No recognition for hard work. Bonuses are either non eligible or minimal. Staff are called out for doing the wrong thing but never the right.
