U get a high stress BS job that for now pays well and your company and your Union can not agree to a new contract and have been working on a 1 year + expired extended contract.

Minpunten

Company expects u to clock in, do work, shut up and clock out and management does not listen to you no matter what.

Healthcare/EMS can be demanding, long hours at times, stressful days, and workload can be heavy depending on staffing and operations. These things aren’t specific to AMR, that’s our industry in general.

AMR San Mateo is making huge strides in changing the Old Boy culture of EMS. The operation is collaborative, cares for its employees, and acts with accountability.

Minpunten

Although it's much better than it was, AMR San Mateo still deals with staffing issues, primarily for medics, and forced mandation is still in play.
