      Mostly good people in the organization. Worked hard and have few resources.

      Minpunten

      The company is run like a traveling carnival. Here today, closed up and gone tomorrow. Operations are under pressure to reduce UHU and to cut EMT hours to part-time status (goal is 80% of EMT to be part time so the Company can save money on benefits). Unrealistic goals, can't get new business because they can provide service to existing customers.

      Career growth opportunities, supportive coworkers, opportunities to learn and develop, ability to advance if you stay engaged and work hard

      Minpunten

      Healthcare/EMS can be demanding, long hours at times, stressful days, and workload can be heavy depending on staffing and operations. These things aren’t specific to AMR, that’s our industry in general.

      Pluspunten

      AMR San Mateo is making huge strides in changing the Old Boy culture of EMS. The operation is collaborative, cares for its employees, and acts with accountability.

      Minpunten

      Although it's much better than it was, AMR San Mateo still deals with staffing issues, primarily for medics, and forced mandation is still in play.
