      The city is an amazing place to work, the patients are constantly reaffirming, and the tight-knit family feel of the "shop" is great.

      Minpunten

      Management is constantly changing and very inept, the combination of healthcare and profit is always problematic and the workers will feel that the worst, and AMR is as corporate a company as it gets.

      Minpunten

      Healthcare/EMS can be demanding, long hours at times, stressful days, and workload can be heavy depending on staffing and operations. These things aren’t specific to AMR, that’s our industry in general.

      AMR San Mateo is making huge strides in changing the Old Boy culture of EMS. The operation is collaborative, cares for its employees, and acts with accountability.

      Minpunten

      Although it's much better than it was, AMR San Mateo still deals with staffing issues, primarily for medics, and forced mandation is still in play.
