Pluspunten

Great clinical skills by seasoned and professional field staff. Pay that the union had to go to war with management for.

Minpunten

Hostile work environment. Union vs. management. This is what happens when you involve a publicly traded company with emergency medical care. Downing 911 units to dangerous levels to run transfers (where the money is). Celebrate their employees by making them sit in ambulances all day not giving them access to food or bathrooms. Here have an old pizza "management" (not leadership) ate for a lunch meeting 8 hours ago. We left you the scraps because we care.

Pluspunten

Career growth opportunities, supportive coworkers, opportunities to learn and develop, ability to advance if you stay engaged and work hard

Minpunten

Healthcare/EMS can be demanding, long hours at times, stressful days, and workload can be heavy depending on staffing and operations. These things aren’t specific to AMR, that’s our industry in general.

Pluspunten

AMR San Mateo is making huge strides in changing the Old Boy culture of EMS. The operation is collaborative, cares for its employees, and acts with accountability.

Minpunten

Although it's much better than it was, AMR San Mateo still deals with staffing issues, primarily for medics, and forced mandation is still in play.
