The location was solid, and I'll admit some people on the team were actually decent to work with.

The workload itself wasn't even bad when you could actually step away from it, which is the thing - you can't really step away. Emails at 10 PM on random Thursdays. Slack messages on Sunday morning that somehow feel urgent. There's this unspoken expectation that somehow feel urgent. I came in thinking I could maintain some kind of life outside of work, but that died pretty quick. By the third month I was answering work stuff during family dinners and nobody even batted an eye.
